The Archive contains nearly 250 issues of The Beaver, as well as Canada's History and Kayak magazines. The Beaver was launched in 1920 as an in-house newsletter of the Hudson's Bay Company. It is the second-oldest continuously published magazine in Canada and was renamed Canada's History magazine in 2010. About 70 percent of The Beaver's content has been uploaded to the Canada's History Archive. The remainder — consisting of rare and fragile early issues of the magazine — is currently being processed and will be available for access in the fall of 2017.

The holdings of the Print Collection in the Rare Books and Special Collections Division include some 250 Canadian posters from the two World Wars. The posters are accessible to researchers who visit the Division's Lande Reading Room; a printed finding aid is available from the Reading Room Supervisor.

Coal Reports This index to the names of coal miners injured or killed in mining accidents in the First District of Illinois between 1882 and 1927 can be searched by surname. The data fields are last name, first name, incident date, source year, source page, and notes. Quarterlies This index to the quarterly publications of the Will-Grundy Counties Illinois Genealogical Society can be searched by surname. The data fields in the search results are surname, given name, and volume and page number. Obituary & Death Notice This index to obituaries and death notices appearing in the Coal City Courant can be searched by surname. Known historically as the Danish West Indies or Danish Antilles, it consisted of the islands of Saint Thomas, Saint John and Saint Croix. The Dutch controlled these islands from 1754 until 1917. It was transferred over to the United States on 31 March 1917. This new website contains some 5 million images of original documents, maps and drawings related to the time when the Dutch controlled the island. More than 150 volunteers have been working on digitizing these records for genealogical research. It is a treasure trove for anyone looking for ancestral records, including slave records.

The University of Michigan has created a digital archive of its student newspaper, The Michigan Daily, from 1890 to 2014, but this is no ordinary student publication. In addition to campus news, the newspaper has covered state, national, and international news. The newspaper databased is expected to be updated annually.
