Computers, the Internet, and other technology sure are useful tools for genealogical research! 
We all have different experiences, use different technologies, and have different levels of knowledge. 
There is always something new to learn and share!  We welcome all genealogists with any level of experience!
Besides presentations, classes, question & answer times, show and tell, we may also do projects.
You can bring your own computers if you like.

The Genealogy Scrapbook Page Contest:
The objective is for you to have a display of something related to your genealogy!
Another objective is for us to share our ideas and inspire others!
The membership will vote for the winners before the meeting.
Winners will be announced and prizes awarded at the end of the meeting.
Currently paid members are eligible to win a prize.
Entries will be a 1 or 2 page spread pertaining to a genealogical subject matter.
All entries will be paper, and not in a book. It is OK if it is in a page protector. At the present time, there is no way to display multiple digital pages for judging. However, the page/s can be created digitally or with paper. Digital projects will need to be printed out.
Size of the page/s - The largest sizes, per page are 12” x 12” or 14” x 11.” ( Please let Marilyn know if there is a reason for a larger size.)  Any size smaller than these dimensions is fine, for example - 8”x8” - 11”x8.5” - 8”x10” - 5”x7” - 4”x3” - etc…
Thickness of the page/s - If the page were in a scrapbook, the book would need to be able to be closed.
Due date for submissions - March 11, 2017 General Meeting
Members will pick up their submissions at the end of the meeting. or make other arrangements ahead of time.
The GSS is not responsible for damage or theft of any part of the project. Do not use valuables on the pages. Take photographs of valuable objects and use the photos in the layout, or make a copy of the page with the objects and submit the copy for the contest!
